Stock for Kids

Ever wonder what to get a kid that has everything? How about a unique gift that teaches them about money? Ever consider stocks for kids?

FamilyMatters.tv has found a company set up to sell single stocks that come with a very nice looking certificate in a frame of your choice. There are stocks available from many of the Fortune 500 companies. For the little kids: companies such as Disney, Pixar, Mattel, Hasbro, Toys R Us, LeapFrog, and Chuck E. Cheese. For the bigger kids: Marvel Enterprises, Nike, Coca-Cola, Hershey Foods, McDonalds, US Basketball League, and Topps Company. There are also stocks available by interests such as: cars and motorcycles, technology, Hollywood, sports… and many more. You can pretty much find something to suit any member of the family.

Another fun program they offer when buying stocks for kids is the “My First Stock Program.” After you’ve chosen your stock and frame, for additional $10.00 you can join this program and your kid will receive a special mat logo, kid’s investment book, stock tracking sheet, and online investment games.

Buying stocks for kids can be very educational. Introducing the concept of money at a young age can be very beneficial and teaching kids by involvement and participation is a very effective method of establishing an understanding of how money and business works.

It takes 4-8 weeks to receive the actual framed stock certificate, but you can send an e-mail gift announcement for free or pay to have the announcement sent either by mail or FedEx for a last minute purchase.

You can buy stock for kids with the kid’s name on it, but stock for kids under the age of 18 will need the legal guardian’s name to accompany the kid’s name on the order form.

Because this company is set up for one share of stock gifts, if you want to buy multiple stocks you’ll need to go to a traditional broker or investment firm.
