Driving the Easy Way

Web Traffic School, Driver's Ed, & America Drives

Web Traffic School:

We all at one time or another seem destined to encounter the dreaded flashing red lights, leaving us with the unpleasant choice of either sitting in traffic school for eight hours or paying higher insurance rates, but low and behold… a 21st century alternative… on-line traffic school. It doesn’t get any easier than this…

The course is divided into 6 sections that include video lectures, safety films and traffic dialogues. Each section ranges from 30-50 minutes in length. You can complete however many sessions you choose per sitting.

After you complete the sections, you do a Quiz Review and then a Final Quiz. You’ll need to get 80% of the questions correct to receive your certificate (that’s what you’ll need for court), but you can review the course and re-take the quiz as many times as you need!

Prices range from $24.95 in California to $49.95 in Virginia. Another plus is: you’re not asked to pay until you complete the first section of the course and know you’re satisfied with it. You do need to confirm that your jurisdiction allows Web Traffic School. If it’s not available, you can contact your county and try to get permission to take the course.

Drivers Ed:

Yes, believe it or not they’ve got Drivers Ed on-line too. In California, Florida, and Nevada, DriversEd.com satisfies DMV requirements. In California, the course is broken up into seven sections that are completed on your own time frame. For teens, a parent or guardian will need to be present to supervise the final quiz and after completing the course, you’ll still need to sign up for at least six hours of behind the wheel instruction with a local drivers training school.

If you don’t need to take the course, but do need to take the test, a $15 fee will give you access to practice tests that include over 1000 questions and if you pass the DriversEd.com test 5 or more times with a score of 80% or more and don’t pass the DMV written test on the first day, DriversEd.com will refund your money or give you a year of practice tests for free! Can’t go wrong there…

Other programs they offer are:

“Drivers Ed in the Box” which helps prepare for the Driving Exam and “Behind-The-Wheel Program” which helps parents train teens with Learner’s Permits to drive collision free.

There are gift certificates available by the way…

America Drives:

This site is for foreign visitors who’d either like to get a U.S. driver’s license or familiarize themselves with road signs and traffic laws. The on-line program has course lessons, interactive case studies and course tests.
