The island of Nassau in the Bahamas
is a wonderful place to take kids of any age. The natural beauty of the
tropical island is enough to make you want to spend every day at the beach,
but there's a lot more there to do. Getting around is easy, but be aware if renting a car that they do drive on the opposite side of the road. If driving on the opposite side of road is not for you, "no worries, mon," there are buses everywhere that come by frequently and the drivers will even take you right to your condo or hotel if its on the main street, which most are anyway. There are also plenty of cabs if you prefer. |

Crystal Cay is an aquarium park that includes tide pool, shark, ray exhibits and more. It's a very low key and relaxing place to visit. The highlight is an underwater observatory tank built in the actual ocean where you can get a real view of what's under the sea. The Pirates of Nassau is a fun museum to visit. The exhibits look very much like Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Some parts of the museum are dark and a bit scary for the little ones, so gauge your child accordingly before taking them in. |
